Daniel Elizalde is the head of IoT at Ericsson. He is a seasoned product leader with over 20 years of experience managing complex B2B technology products. He has experience managing IoT product portfolios and the complete lifecycle of end-to-end IoT solutions, including hardware, embedded software, cloud platforms, and user applications. As part of my IoT coaching practice, he has created the IoT Decision Framework, a strategic tool to help companies develop winning IoT product strategies.
Kiichiro DeLuca is responsible for research and business development at WERU Investment. His focus is on early stage hard science and deep tech ventures around the world. Additionally, he leads technology commercialization efforts together with researchers at universities and research institutions to create spinouts from public domain research.
A rocket scientist turned venture capitalist, Kiichiro began his career as an aerospace engineer working on projects at NASA/JPL, University of Tokyo, and in industry. After his career in aerospace engineering, he led business development efforts for early stage hard science and deep tech ventures in San Francisco and Tokyo, prior to joining WERU Investment.
Michael Falcon has over twenty years of venture capital and operating experience, with an emphasis on Deep Tech and information technology industry sectors. Prior to LG Technology Ventures, Michael was a Managing Partner of Bandgap Ventures, which focuses on physical science technology investing in the areas of advanced materials, manufacturing, and electronics. Michael began his work in venture capital at Alara Capital (formerly Guggenheim Venture Partners), which was the venture capital group of Guggenheim Partners, a global financial services firm with more than $200 billion in assets under management.
Michael has held senior positions in operating companies including Director of Marketing and Business Development at Molecular Imprints, a venture-backed semiconductor equipment company that was acquired by Canon. Michael also served as a Captain at the US Air Force Research Laboratory, where he led a multi-million dollar semiconductor laser research and development program at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico. Michael has also worked at Texas Instruments and Teradyne Corporation and has authored multiple technical publications.
Michael has four degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, including an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, an M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, and an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he was a Leaders for Global Operations Fellow and a recipient of the Patrick G. McGovern Award for Entrepreneurship.
Michael lives with his wife and teenage daughter and enjoys playing golf and exercising.
Thomas (Seungpill) Jueng is Managing Director of Samsung Ventures America. He joined Samsung Ventures in 2012 and focuses on investments in mobile, digital media, content, Enterprise solution, and InsureTech.
Prior to joining Samsung Ventures, Thomas worked in Benex investment, a private equity in Korea. He managed deal structure of $400M multiplex transaction.
Before Benex investment, he spent five and half years at SK Telecom in global strategy planning team and investment team.
Thomas was involved in numerous deals in the US, China, Vietnam, and Korea mainly focusing on mobile and internet. In 2008, he launched SK Telecom Ventures in Palo Alto.
Before SK Telecom, he opened two start-ups, a social network service website, win520.com in Beijing, China, and an outdoor digital signage company, Intercity Networks in Korea.
He spent three and half years at a RF repeater system company, MTI Co., Ltd. as building quality insurance team from scratch.
Thomas earned his M.B.A. at the Wharton School and received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University.
